Get to Know Me

Sandra Brown is a lifelong North Shore resident with deep ties to the Evanston community and decades of experience in real estate. After attending Kenyon College and studying abroad, she completed her undergraduate degree in Education at Northwestern University. Since 1974, Sandra has been actively involved in managing apartment buildings, forming real estate investment partnerships, and renovating single-family homes and condominiums alongside her husband.
 
In addition to her real estate work, Sandra has held roles as a middle school educator and managed local family-run businesses, including a restaurant and an antiquarian bookstore. Her multifaceted background has shaped her comprehensive understanding of the real estate market and her strong commitment to the Evanston community.
 
Sandra has been a consistent top producer in residential and commercial real estate on the North Shore since 1985. In 1991, she co-founded Lakeshore Partners in Evanston, which later affiliated with Weichert REALTORS® in 2007. In 2016, she and her son, Geoff Brown, established the Brown Team at Baird & Warner. As of August 2025, the team transitioned into The Geoff Brown Team at Compass.
 
Sandra is regularly recognized among the top 1% of Evanston real estate professionals and was honored with the “Most Referred Member of NAR Award” by her peers. Since 2004, she has ranked in the top 2% of brokers across Chicagoland, representing sellers. She also holds the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation, reflecting her expertise in serving clients aged 50 and above.
 
A dedicated community member, Sandra has actively participated in local PTAs, Booster Clubs, and girls’ athletics at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Youth Opportunity United (Y.O.U.) in Evanston.
 
Sandra lives in Evanston with her husband, Charles, a contractor who specializes in restoring architecturally significant homes. Together, they have four children and eight grandchildren, six of whom, wisely, call Evanston home.
